19th November 2015: The latest edition of the IRIS Illawarra Business Survey has shown an improvement across several key business indicators in the Illawarra region. Overall, Trading Conditions, Profitability and Overtime all experienced a positive shift during the September quarter. Read more.
25th September 2015: The latest IRIS Illawarra Real Estate Report has revealed the Wollongong LGA median house price has risen to $533,500, an 11.8% increase in comparison to the year to June, 2014. Read more.
18th September 2015: The latest IRIS Vox Pop series has revealed 52.4% of Illawarra respondents were in 'High Agreement' that the change of Prime Minister to Mr Turnbull was a good thing for Australia. 44.8% of Illawarra respondents were in 'Low Agreement' that the change of Prime Minister will make a difference to the Illawarra, with 16.7% in 'High Agreement' that it would. In relation to the policy change question, 28.5% of respondents rated the economy as the key policy area for change. Environment (20.3%) and Employment (15.7%) were the next highest rated policy areas. Read more.
20th August 2015: The latest IRIS Profile Illawarra has revealed the WSD's median house price grew by 10.1% to $505,000 with total sales increasing by 1.9% to 3,721. The median price paid for units in this region increased by 9.5% (to $405,000) with 1,694 sales (down 14.9%). Read more.
